The Space Observatory "Millimetron" (Project "Spektr-M")
Welcome to the official website of the Space Observatory Millimetron

The main contractor of this project is the Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) and it is held in accordance with the current Federal Space Program.

The head organization in the scientific programme development and the scientific equipment design is the Astro Space Center (ASC) of P. Lebedev Physical Institute, Russian Academy of Science. It is carried out in cooperation with numerous Russian and foreign organizations.

The head company for the creation of a space complex is S. Lavochkin Research and Production Association.
The Space Observatory "Millimetron"(project "Spectrum-M") will substaintially contribute to solving astronomical problems in the far-infrared, submillimeter and millimeter wavelengths. This mission will enable astronomers to observe the universe with unprecedented sensitivity and angular resolution.
